2008-12-10 [Calico Tiger]: Ya know, the first time I saw this movie... They get to his Red Rider BB Gun all wrapped up. My little brother and I noted the shape of the package. We both turned and looked over at the tree and the two packages shaped exactly like that leaning on the wall next to it. And, indeed, we got our first guns that year XD

2008-12-10 [Hedda]: I just saw that movie because [Viking] told me to, but it was definitely not a movie for me. Way too American in a bad annoying way.

2008-12-10 [Lord Dog]: Way too American in a Bad annoying way? I am not sure if that was insulting ...I actually hated that movie because it never had the hoped for plot twist of Ralphie going on a killing spree when he finally got his bb gun

2008-12-11 [Paul Doyle]: It is a classic, all right, but after seeing it year after year for some reason it doesn't hold up as well as any of the animated classics like "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" or "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" or "A Charlie Brown Christmas." It also doesn't strike me as being in the same league as the old black-and-white versions of "A Christmas Carol" or "Miracle on 34th Street" or "It's a Wonderful Life." (But who'd make an ET version of any of these movies? :P)

In any event, for some really random chuckles and for something classically BAD but fun, consider seeing "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" with or without the MST3K treatment. (It's on Youtube, I think . . . )

the little bit of extra money I have had, I've spent on our Son's christmas :P Which is fine by me :D but that is definately going on my "to do" list to get....eventually lol

Yeah, same here. Family on the east coast isnt able to send gifts like they always do, so its no big deal. And that means if they send gift cards we can give them to him later. he gets a lot of mileage out of gift cards. XD 

2008-12-11 [Jeccabee]: I love all those old black and white christmas movies. My fav is White Christmas...makes me cry every time at the end. :P
I also love the Christmas Carol!

2008-12-11 [Kyrinn]: the old 1930s Christmas carol is my all time favorite. Closely followed by White Christmas and then A Christmas Story. ^_^
